Silent Hill: Homecoming Coming To Steam

Thanks to Leipzig, it seems like the game info coming our way just keeps on raging like a blizzard (but not The Blizzard, Blizzcon is the month after next). Out of the whirlwind of trailers and press releases comes two tidbits of info on Silent Hill: Homecoming. The first part is the rumor going around that the game may be pushed back to a November release. Official word has not been given yet to give this rumor much traction, and still others think that the new date may only be the the European launch, with the North American launch still on time for the September release date they gave us back during their Gamer's Night. Since the game convention is in Europe, my guess is that they are giving the release date for Europe, and it's just confusing all the North American press that is out there.
The other big news that was announced at Konami's Press Conference is that the game's PC release will also be through Valve's Steam portal, allowing players to download the game directly to their computers. The Steam release was said to be for September (giving further credence to the game still shipping in September) which means that game lovers will have a variety of platforms and methods to pick from when deciding how they want to play the fifth Silent Hill installment. I'm personally really excited about the PC launch of the game, since things always seem to be that much scarier to me when my face is closer to the monitor. Pyramid Head, here I come.
