When It Blizzard's Tickets It Storms

Well with Tiny Dancer having visited Blizzard recently it looks like they decided to let anyone off the street come in to see them (anyone off the street with $100 that is). As many of you may already know, Blizzard is putting on another Blizzcon this October 10th and 11th, and with the announcement of Stacraft II and Diablo 3 in the past year, I know a lot of people are just as excited as Tiny to see and play what Blizzard is working on right now. Well tickets for the event went on sale yesterday, and apparently there has been such a high demand for purchasing them that the Blizzard Store couldn't handle all the traffic. It's got bad enough that they took down the store to do some maintenance and have put up a thread in the forums to let you know the status. Here's the notice they also have up:
We have appreciated everyone's patience as we've worked to address issues with the BlizzCon ticket sales today. To avoid having people stay up into the early hours attempting to make ticket purchases, we will take ticket sales down and continue implementing optimizations through tonight and tomorrow morning. There are still plenty of tickets available, so if you weren't able to purchase tickets today, please check back tomorrow.
As I was writing this article, I checked the store to find that it is still down this morning; however, when it does come back up you can go here to purchase the tickets. I may be tempted to buy a ticket myself, since they have a "murloc on a polar bear mount" for WoW as one of the items in their notorious goodie bag and we all know how much I love to ride a polar bear :)

I was one of the like 4 people able to get their ticket yesterday. If you check out the Blizzcon forums, everyone is PISSED about this whole thing and rightfully so. It is amazing how Blizzard can not get their act together and could not be bothered to even test their own site. It wasn't just an issue of traffic, but XML issues abound.
Any other company would lose a lot of player base over this, but since Blizzard is pretty much selling crack, they can continue to do whatever they want.

Stayed up for 2 days to get tickets, weathering the storm of downtimes and maintainence and walked away with nothing, noooo tickets to Blizzcon for me :(
