The Men Of GC 2008!

Yay: thanks to the enterprising spirit of our GGP colleagues, we've got some Leipzig eye candy for you today, such as the hottie pictured here. The word on the street - excuse me - the spiegel sprach on the strasse says that the men of Rockstar were "by far the hottest guys at the show," and I can easily believe it.
I mean, I'd hit that. I'd hit it like a freight train.
Take a gander at the gallery to see the kind of man candy that Fruit Brute and I have to suffer through at nearly every single convention. Oh, the burden of beauty!
[Thanks to David for the pictures and to Gordon, as always, for connecting the dots!]

They look like they need to eat a few big macs.
this is kind of creepy. do these guys know their pictures are being taken? and then posted on a site for all to ogle? i mean i appreciate an alternate take on gaming conventions (i.e. heterosexist/chauvenistic booth babe galleries) but those guys are obviously not posing for the pics.
Well I would like to say "OM NOM NOM" very yummy indeed. Also spiegel is mirror...so that would the "the mirror on the street says" =P
"I mean, I'd hit that. I'd hit it like a freight train."
Sir Tiny, you just made an old British gent proud. :)
Relax sister. They're at a convention. There are cameras everywhere. They know they're going to be photographed. I would hope if they stumbled upon this article they would be thrilled and flattered rather than disturbed.
I know I'd be pretty excited to find out a bunch of gamers were worshipping me online. :)
No bears?! I'm calling out the discrimination!
. . .
Just kidding :)
DAYUM...they can Rock my Star!!
I dunno, I think sister cylon is right.
If this were pictures of random women who weren't posing for pictures and/or didn't know they were being photographed which had then been posted on some gamer site that was more straight-oriented, I think I would find it creepy.
I have to agree, this is really creepy.
You don't even know if they are gay.
I wouldn't be suprised that if the next time you go by the rockstar booth, they have filed restraining orders against you.
This is just...
You fail.
These guys are hot, and it should not matter if they are hot in the eyes of a heterosexual or homosexual person.
Besides: these guys are there to sell their products and should be aware of the fact they will be photographed.
As the Germans would say: Den Burschen sind Oberaffengeil!
Not that I don't love pictures of cute boys, but... I'm sort of in the "this is creepy" camp.
Are we really aping the straight gaming media who drools over "booth babes"?
Cute guys and all, but... c'mon. Beefcake pictures? Really?
As a general rule you can take a picture of anyone in public as long as that person doesn't have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Someone working at the Rockstar booth in a game convention would never have a reasonable expectation of privacy as they have 1,000's of people walking by them every day.
The most that could happen is the guy finds out and sends a request that his picture be removed.
Lets put it another way. Michael Phellps is at the Olympics. Could someone get in trouble for taking his picture, posting it on a blog saying they saw him at the Olympics? Not a chance in hell.
Another point to consider - what if a girl had gone up and asked to take a picture of them? I am sure that they would have obliged. Gaymers are just at a disadvantage because they simply can't do that and thus have to do so discreetly. Yes, a bit creepy but maybe a double standard is fair when the world is unfair.
To those who are saying this is creepy or whatever, lighten the hell up. Seriously. Who cares if they are gay or not. When you are in a public place, you can't do anything about photos being taken of you. They should expect it as much as a booth babe.
And I agree with GaymerJim, where are the bears and cubs? :)
CJG et all:
Simmer dow' nah. These photogged people at the convention were promoting their games.
That means they want to be seen and make their brand known.
Tiny was doing them a favor. I smell insecurity!
Cool your jets. Who cares if they didn't know their picture was being taken? It happens all the time, they call these sort of photos CANDIDS. It's only bad to take pictures of someone without their knowledge if they are in a comprimising position.

You guys, it's only creepy if you keep pointing out over and over how creepy it could seem. Otherwise, it's just hot guys getting photographed wearing logo t-shirts for a company that hired hot guys to wear logo t-shirts.
They get publicity and we get to ogle. Everyone wins.
There are some incredibly low "creepiness" thresholds around here. This is like a bunch of old women being shocked that the 40 year old spinster down the road is showing a bit of ankle. By all means, do NOT go outside. Some of the truly creepy, crazy, ugly, utterly monstrous things happening in our sad world will make your heads explode. Best to stay home and make a nice cup of tea.
Hey, I just said it was creepy, not that I thought it was illegal. Those of us in the creepy camp are entitled to our opinions. There are certainly other things to worry about, but not in the context of this site. They're cute guys, sure, I just think there's a difference between a picture of a guy smiling at the camera and a bunch of pics that look like they're from the point of view of someone surreptitiously snapping pics with his phone for the sole purpose of posting eye candy on a site. "Hey, can I take your picture for a website?" Doesn't sound out of the question to me. I've never been to a game conference, sorry for my ignorance.
Definite cuties, no doubt.
So no eyecandy for me... and it got something from that "yaoi-fangirl"-stuff. I mean taking pictures from guys and uploading it as "gay eyecandy" O.o
I can't even relate to the idea that this is creepy. These guys are in a public place, and are working in public relations for this company.
And I'm very disturbed by the comments from people that think it matters if these guys are gay.
As a gay man, I have the right to gaze at any man I want. I don't need permission to think a guy is cute. I don't need permission to tell others I think he's cute. Leering and harassment are inexcusable (and sometimes criminal), of course. But looking is well within my rights.
hawt
"working in public relation" doesn`t mean you are free to make fotos of everyone and spred it around the net.
Not much eyecandy it seems :P
What where are the photos of you Tiny Dancer?!?! :)
No no, this is creepy. And kind of degrading. The fact that you took pictures of (albeit attractive) men for a community of gay nerds to ogle...?
It doesn't matter if they are gay or not. It's both superficial and says a whole lot about the gay community.
"omg gaiz, we're running low on news 2day letz post hot guyz lololol, thats all the readers rly want newayz!! roflfoflfo11!!1"
