The Puns Of August: Tiny Vs. New Jersey

Happy August, gamers! Here's to hoping that most of you are spending this traditional holiday month in as relaxed a fashion as yours tinily. I'm out on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, with the parents, the dog, the boyfriend, the Xbox, and occasional GayGamer Asian Reporter Takashi Takanawa - and let me tell you, fellas and females, it's great to get away!
The boys and I were cruising the local tourist/wharf/boutique complex to see if we could find an arcade. We didn't, but we did find and pack our own fresh-made fudge and buy a few tees emblazoned "Ship Bottom" after, we suspect, a nearby town.
The only thing remotely game related was this oddly adorable t-shirt, held here by one Mr. Brian G. Dancer. I don't suppose it has much to do with anything maritime or New Jerseyish, but it caught my eye in a "his-and-his game controllers" kinda way. Which may explain why Brian and Takashi are now parked on the sectional playing Lego Star Wars like they're a thousand miles from the shore.
Have a safe and happy August, boys and babes, and may your fudge-packing, ship-bottoming experiences be as fun and/or as wholesome as mine!

Alright you've got to clue me in, Tiny. WTF is Ship-bottoming?
Not even UrbanDictionary can help me out. It suggested "Sunk to the Nuts".
Ship Bottom is the name of a town, apparently, near where I'm vacationing on the Jersey shore. I'm a child, so of course I couldn't let it go.
