Video: Captain Rainbow Opening Cinematic
For a game with little chance of localization, Captain Rainbow sure knows how to get our attention. First it was the promise seeing old Nintendo characters in new and exciting ways, and now it's skin tight jumpsuits and flashy rainbow crotches belt buckles. Here's the introduction to the game, which really doesn't shine any additional light on the plot or gameplay. From what I've seen, I assume that the goal of the game is to see how long you can play it without getting a migraine.
Captain Rainbow is out at the end of the month in Japan, and barring some miracle or executive with a death wish, don't hold your breath for an international release.

I'm seriously psyched about this game, but that happiness was dampened a bit by your statements about the likelihood of it actually appearing outside Japan, Dawdle. Guess I hadn't thought about it, but they don't seem great, do they? Odd premise, skintight outfit, and a name that's about the gayest assembly of words Nintendo's ever put together. I suppose if the game didn't have the inherent Nintendo nostalgia appeal with all the random cameos, the chances would be even worse. Does anyone else think this game might make it over here after all? Is anyone else excited about this game?
I should say I've got no insider knowledge of this coming or not coming stateside or to Europe. Skip doesn't have a great track record of their games moving outside japan (Giftpia?), but this is a new generation so anything is possible.
I say there is some hope for europe...they did give s the Tingle spin off...
