Weekly XBLA Update - 08/27/08

castlecrashers.jpg

This week brings us Castle Crashers, the anticipated new game from developer The Behemoth whose previous release, Alien Hominid, garnered critical and commercial success back in 2004. Castle Crashers promises a hack and slash adventure featuring some pretty stunning artwork and the addition of online co-op for up to four players. Throw in a host of unlockable content from characters to weapons and this may be a release to check out. I just hope it isn't as difficult as Alien Hominid, that little bugger sure did cause a controller-shaped hole to appear in my wall. Castle Crashers is set at a hefty price of 1200 MP, so try before you buy.

Those of you jamming to Rock Band this week will be happy to know that Rush's 1981 album Moving Pictures is getting the full downloadable treatment. Nab the full album for 880 MP or each track for 160 MP. So get your Rush cover band together and start annoying the neighbors!

Is castle crashers *just* online co-op and not in-person co-op?

I'm really tired of there being next-to-nothing for me and my boyfriend to play together on the Xbox.

Gah... that'll teach me to do research before ranting.

There seems to be local co-op for Castle Crashers too. Two Gamer Households rejoice!
