Xbox DEAD

Official Xbox 360 Magazine has an amusing article out with a look at the least-played XboxLIVE games. The most popular games to play online are reportedly Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3, but the games I see most often now amongst my friends are Soul Calibur IV and sometimes Rock Band. But what about those games that came out ages ago? Are there still die-hard fans slugging away at them online? I was a little curious to pop in my old copy of Burnout Revenge and see if anyone was in the lobby... but only a little.

The magazine tested out some older titles to see if they could drum up any games, and the ones that fared the worst were FIFA 06: Road To The World Cup, Brian Lara International Cricket, Blitz The League, Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2 and World Championship Snooker 2007. Even the games that had a handful of people playing them didn't seem like they were particularly fun experiences. The one that really surprised me was Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I always thought that was pretty popular. Guess people moved on...

With Marvel, I don't think that it's unpopular, I just think most people that play either play at home with friends or play with people on their friends lists now instead of looking for random people
