Aeria To Bring Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine To Additional Regions (US PLZ?)

ima17_qjpreviewth.jpg

Last year, Atlus and Cave teamed up to create Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, a MMORPG set in a post-apocalyptic demon-filled earth. I managed to make my way into the beta, and after an hour of struggling with the language barrier, I decided it was best to call it a night and move on. The game is free to play, and is driven by microtransactions, which allows players to buy new items for use during active play.

It turns out that Aeria, a game company specializing in localizing free(-to-pay)-to-play games, is working on moving this title to regions other than Japan. The forum "Game master" Superman0X has stated that they have secured the rights to make both English and German versions of the title. There is no word on which regions are on the release, but it's a safe bet that Germany is in the list of prospective targets.

Awesome. I'm really curious to see how this plays. I haven't played a MMORPG since I kicked my WoW habit two years ago.

But imagine the possiblities. Can I use guns? Summon demons - after you try to make friends with them?

...WHAT?! Running around with a Jack Frost as my little companion would be absolutely amazing. I hope they bring this to the States!
