Breaking News: Jack Thompson Permanently Disbarred

It looks like the day that many in the games industry have been waiting for has finally arrived. According to a court filing on the Florida Supreme Court website, Jack Thompson has been permanently disbarred from legal practice. The The papers, filed this morning, state that
The Court approves the corrected referee's report and John Bruce Thompson is permanently disbarred, effective thirty days from the date of this order so that respondent can close out his practice and protect the interests of existing clients.
It looks like Jack's days of causing mayhem are over, at least in the legal sense. Although I am sure this isn't the last we will hear of him. The outspoken Thompson has never shied away from making his opinions known and I'm sure he will have a lot to say about this. I anxiously await his letter of response which I am sure is even now being crafted.
If you would like to read the full legal documents, they can be found here on the Florida Supreme Court website.

(in Nelson Muntz style)...HA-HAW!
Now I can get back to my murder simulator!
O M G YES! I am spreading the news with all of my friends and coworkers that play video games, it is a great day indeed
*raise martini in the air*
To Thompson! May his legacy and defeat lives forever!
*drink*
*hears the ringing of bells and the trilling of Munchkins*
As happy as this makes me, I don't think he's done causing trouble. I can see him getting his "friends" (see below) to help cause trouble unless they're smart enough to drop him or at least tell him "NO"!
Plus I don't think he's all there mentally, Gamespot put up part of a letter he wrote: "The timing of this disbarment transparently reveals its motivation," Thompson wrote, adding, "This rush to disbarment is in retribution for the filing of that federal suit. With enemies this foolish, Thompson needs only the loyal friends he has."
Still referring to himself in the third person ;) sign of real stability there.
While this is a decided improvement, he's too high profile to just disappear after an incident like this. Now he'll just reinvent himself in the 'one man with nothing to lose' role while incoherently blaming 'murder simulators' for his disbarment, and it'll be all over Fox News.
