Dario Argento In Dead Space?!
Italian film director Dario Argento has made quite a name for himself with cult masterpieces like Suspiria, Tenebrae, Deep Red and the like. But now the man is venturing into uncharted territory by lending his voice to the character of Doctor Kyne in EA's sci-fi survival horror game, Dead Space. EA says that Argento lent his experience and actively contributed in defining his character in the game, which will be out October 14 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The catch is that his voice will only be heard in the Italian version. So what, he couldn't phonetically read an English script? I know the guy can do passable English. That's weird.
But what this really makes me want is some kind of Dario Argento-created survival horror game. I mean, Silent Hill is messed-up enough, but if you've ever seen this guy's movies, you know he's got a pretty twisted imagination! Just think — one wrong turn and you end up in a room full of barbed wire! Or a monkey attacks you with a razor! Imagine the possibilities!
