Day of Crisis Finished, Dated for Europe... Wha?
I had very little hope that Disaster: Day of Crisis would see the light of day. Nearly two years since the title was announced, around the time of the Nintendo Wii launch, the game has pretty much fallen out of the news and my notice. Now the game is spontaneously finished and is dated for a European release.
Thats right, no US or Japanese launch date. Disaster: Day of Crisis is set to release October 24th in the EU. The game will feature 23 stages of "action / adventure", and it looks very much like it is going to be a rail shooter with some WiiMote related minigames. You are U.S. Marine Raymond Bryce, on a mission to stop the terrorist group SURGE operating through the shadows of natural disasters.
Ok, frankly folks I'm half expecting to be terribly disappointed with this one. Lets face it, this game has all but ran away from the hype train. Nothing is not going to stop me from importing a copy and using a good freeloader alternative, but I'm certainly not going to break my wallet for this title. Here's to hoping the game isn't itself a disaster..

DARN IT!!! I was really, really looking forward to this game.
IF I buy the EU version, will it play on my US wii?
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: You have to use the twilight princess hack, install the homebrew channel, and get the freeloader like application that fools the games into loading without region protection.
Thanks! Wow. That doesn't sound fun. Guess I'll just wait for this:
