Dead Space Release Date Moved... Up?!
We often hear about game realease dates being pushed back, but the folks on EA's Dead Space team are pushing their's forward! Originally slated to come out on Oct. 21, the outer space survival horror game will now be arriving on Oct. 14. A pretty smart move on their part seeing as BioShock for the PS3 and Fable 2 are both premiering on the 21st as well. A new IP going up against two well known heavy hitters has a daunting task ahead of it. But having played Dead Space I can honestly say that I think it has plenty of its own merits to make it stand out in a crowd.

I really hope it succeeds, as I mentioned before I feel the Survival Horror genre is the perfect stage for EA to score any kind of victory over it's detractors, it's something they haven't really done before, but no matter how good, it's just another Resident Evil clone in their eyes.
EA will always have a core base of haters, no matter what the company does, like Microsoft, most people don't even have cogent, factual proven reasons for the dislike, they just dislike them and that's that, he said they did this etc, not good enough in my book.
