Everything You Wanted To Know About The New Xbox LIVE Experience... Well, Almost

Ever since Microsoft announced the total overhaul of the visual interface for the Xbox 360's menus, people have been itching to get their hands on it, or at least get some new information about it. Over at Gamerscore Blog, they've decided to go ahead and answer some questions, but they're parceling out the info on a weekly basis. Probably just to get people hyped up for it. No release date has been announced yet, but it's still scheduled for the "fall" as far as I know.
The first post reveals that your Gamercard will now have a "Games Played slot." As shown on the screenshot above, looking at your Gamercard, you can now also see a card that tracks your total Achievement Points versus how many you could have achieved total if you'd maxed out every game you played. To the right of that, every single game you've ever played will have its own card that will fan out to the right. Those cards will detail Achievements specific to that game, as well as how much of the points you've racked up for it out of the total offered. They also claim if you've played 500 games, you'll have 500 cards fanning out. That seems a little busy, but who knows it might just work.
Personally, I'm more interested in details on the Avatars and the party rooms or whatever they were calling them. I don't need to be reminded on a constant basis how pathetic I am for not being able to get even half of the Achievements offered in a game!

personally, I still want there to be an option for the "classic" menus. the whole Avatars nonsense doesn't interest me in the slightest, and I am quite fond of my SotN backround, k Microsoft?
I wish it were possible to have the HD pre-loading feature without any of this other stuff that I don't care about in the slightest, myself.
For me, I don't really care what it looks like. If they can get it so it runs fast and smooth, I'll be happy. As it stands, it bothers me how the console can render some amazing graphics, but you hit the jewel button and it lags, or as you go to your arcade games list, it takes so long for the list of games you have to load. Fix that, and I'm in.
I just don't need any of the extraneous garbage that this update is giving. I couldn't give two shits about the Avatar system, and while I feel the dashboard is in desperate need of an functionality update, I'd rather keep the "skin" that it is currently using. Achievements are such a minor detail when it comes to the model for me as well, that the windows of all the games I have fanning out behind seems like a waste of programming effort.
get my XBLA Games list to show up quickly, and with minimal load time. make the store easier to navigate. improve the current system, don't reinvent the wheel!
I'm reserving judgment. The current dashboard is mostly functional but hopelessly fugly. M$ overall needs an infusion of sexy (what's up with those stupid new ads with Seinfeld? LAME!).
