I am only familiar with the cards through my younger brothers who have long since ended their association with the franchise. When it comes to the games though, I'm there on release day with my DS in hand. Anyone into the card game? How easy is it to get into for someone whose only CCG experience was Magic: The Gathering?

If you know Magic: The Gathering, you'll easily be able to play Pokemon. In fact, it'll require significantly less thinking than MTG, which can be refreshing if you don't want to hurt your brain but still play a pretty solid CCG. Not to say that Pokemon isn't deep; It has become increasingly so over time. But it's basically a level below MTG in terms of complexity.
so, is there a downside to this card? or is it the I win card
I remember back when I played pokemon in middle-school and this is way too powerful
