Rock Band 2 For Wii Gets Downloadable Tracks

Wii owners who are patiently awaiting the release of Rock Band 2 have just been given some rather fantastic news. In a USA Today article, it was spilled that the upcoming Wii version of the Harmonix developed sequel will indeed support downloadable tunes:
While unannounced, MTV Games has confirmed that the upcoming Nintendo Wii version of ``Rock Band 2'' will offer the same online functionality -- i.e. song downloads and Internet multiplayer modes -- as the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 versions. The PS2 version, however, will not include online connectivity.Does anybody know how large each music track is? I'm hoping the space limitations of the Wii doesn't affect the amount of content that can be downloaded, but if each song is a few megabytes then there really shouldn't be a problem. Just clear out that memory and stock up on SD cards because Rock Band 2 hits the Wii on November 18th.

From waiting for download, my recollection is Rock Band tracks are between 20 and 40 MB with 30 being average.
Yeah, usually right around 30 megs. I am still very highly doubtful that the Wii will carry the same online functionality no matter what anyone says. Albums run usually 300 megs, and Nintendo is very much against running things from the SD drive. Unless they're launching a solution to their memory problem (which I do hope for, as my Wii is near full and there's plenty more for me to buy that I refuse to do so until an option is provided), I do not see this really truly happening. As for 4 people playing together online with 60fps - I remember the lag from SSBB.
I want them to prove me wrong - I want Rock Band to be a huge success on the Wii. But I'm rocking out on my 360 in the meantime.
