Ten 360 Tricks... No, Not That Kind Of Trick

Today's video game consoles can do a lot of things other than just play games. From interfacing with your other high-tech gadgets to using internet technologies in unique ways, I think today's gamers are a little bit spoiled sometimes. Back in my day, our NES's, Master Systems, and 2600's didn't do anything but play games (when they felt like working) and we were happy with that. For today's gamer looking to get just a little bit more functionality out of their 360 TechRadar put together a little list of 10 Xbox 360 tricks Microsoft won't tell you.
I have inadvertently discovered some of these tips through sheer dumb luck. Plugging in my iPod shuffle was among the first things I did after unboxing my 360. I was just hoping that the 360 would recharge it, but was surprised when I found that I could play mp3s directly off it. Out of all the tricks listed, #3 (It can write its own blog) has to be my personal favorite. Just looking into the deep inner-thoughts of my "on again, off again" played with 360 is an odd experience in cyberstalking. Seeing how excited he/she/it gets the day after we play games together is fun, but the long streaks between releases often results in some entries that sound like they belong on a just dumped emo-kid's myspace page. Other tips listed include handy dandy instructions for those of us that want to take our consoles on the road, use the 360 as a media box, or simply want more frugal alternatives to pricey add-ons.
