The Kirby Sky Is Falling

Well, it looks as if the heavens have smiled upon Tennessee, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Alabama (for once). Yes, I know, most of the time you are desolate wastelands in which young GayGamers lament their plight and where tourists only visit the historical landmarks and tourist traps scattered throughout your respective states. Fear not! Kirby is coming to save you this Thursday, Sept. 18th. It turns out that in a rather mysterious publicity stunt, a "luminous spectacle that onlookers from coast to coast will be talking about" will be occurring between the hours of 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in select locations in these states, namely:
- Kirby Middle School - 1328 28th Street, Birmingham, AL 35234
- Kirby Historical Mill - 275 Church Road, Medford, NJ 08055
- Kirby Park - 301 Northampton Street, Kingston, PA 18704
- Kirby Gate Shopping Center - 6548 Quince, Memphis, TN 38119
Yes all locations are named after the iconic game character Kirby (or possibly more historically based people in the communities) and so the heavens will open up at these locations and pour some 'spectacle' upon the people there, most likely in the form of hands-on gameplay. This stunt is probably setup to get the publicity going about the new Kirby Wii game that is due out before the holiday season, but Nintendo has so far remained rather tight lipped about the title. I guess we'll just have to wait until Thursday to see what all the hub-bub is about, but I wanted to give our readers out there in the eastern states a little heads-up if they live near any of these locations.
Press release after the jump.

There is no Kirby Wii title coming out this Autumn. It's a publicity stunt for Kirby Super Star Ultra, a remake of one of the most popular Kirby games of all time coming out for DS this month.
I can't relate how angry I am that I have a test at 11:00 an hour drive from the Alabama location. Thankfully, I have friends who can experience it for me!
