Watch The Wii Fit Family Challenge
This actually might be kind of funny.
Nintendo and Nickelodeon have teamed up to present the Wii Fit Family Challenge, wherein three families will compete for the title of Wii Fit Fittest Family by playing various Balance Board exercises. The show will be hosted by Olympic skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi, and the three finalist families have already won themselves a Wii, a copy of Wii Fit and a trip to Orlando for the taping on September 17. There's nothing in the press release about what the actual grand prize is going to be, though.
I know I look like a complete jackass when I'm playing Wii Fit, at least when I'm doing the balance games or the Hula Hoop exercise, so I'm pretty sure it'll at least be good for a few chuckles to watch moms and dads getting up there and wiggling their butts around. The only problem is that they're only going to be airing highlights of the challenge on October 9 on Nick at Nite, interspersed between its regular prime time programming. So you have to basically watch for the commercials. Great.
