Weekly XBLA Update - 09/10/08

SSII.jpg

After weeks of single game releases on XBLA Microsoft treats us to three different games for download. First up for 800 points is Rocket Bowl, a bowling game (hence the second word in title) that has more in common with Monkey Ball than your father's ten pin Saturday morning activity. Fans of Japanese culture and board games should check out Shogi (800 points) and learn just how serene total domination can be, play against the game or try out online multiplayer. Don't worry Shogi virgins, there is nice tutorial for all of us newbies. Sounds pretty interesting. Finally we have a fighter from the past with Samurai Showdown II for 400 points. Wait a second, didn't I see you on the Wii a few months back? Well you didn't have online play back then, so this might be worth the download if you're into classic fighters.

Those of you with Rock Band can check out three tracks from All That Remains: "This Calling", "Chiron", and "Two Weeks". Each track retails for 80 points or 240 for all three in one easy to download bundle.

Anyone for a game of Shogi this weekend?

UPDATE: Samurai Showdown II is in fact 800 points, sorry.

I only wish Samurai Shodown 2 was 400 points. I just checked, it's actually 800 points.
With that said, I just cannot bring myself to buy it considering how worthless the 360 d-pad is when it comes to fighters...

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
