Fanning The Flames: MGS4 For 360 Rumors Resurface

Yes, I realize that the rumor about Metal Gear Solid 4 coming to the Xbox 360 is an old one from the beginning of the year, and I also realize that Konami already confirmed it to be false, but it seems Konami just won't let this die. In an effort, I can only assume, to fan rumor flames and stir up controversy, Konami PR mouthpiece Yoshitaka Arai let slip word at the Tokyo Game Show that a 360 version of the groundbreaking stealth game could still be in the cards.
The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version (of MGS4) is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to.
Of course, this is far from a confirmation that anything is actually in the works. But seriously, this isn't the answer a company gives when nothing is happening. If nothing were in the works the response would be more along the lines of "there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game" (which is what Konami said back in January) or even the slightly ambiguous "we cannot comment on rumors and speculation at this time." But instead this is the comment we get, that the demand for an Xbox 360 version is high and that Konami is considering the option. It seems the question has now shifted from if it come to Xbox 360, to the question of when it will come, and on how many discs.
Konami Officially Comments On Xbox 360 Metal Gear Solid 4 [Kotaku]

Uggh, somehow I think that Kojima wouldn't approve. This is another example of how with enough bickering and pressure, people DO get it their way.
And yes, I'm bitter that I had to shell that $600 out for a PS3 (for this game specifically), and some people may not have to.
If they have to ruin the control scheme like they did to poor MGS2 on the original Xbox, the 360 is better off without.
Though 4's controls would translate to the 360 controller better than 2's did, so, who knows?
The Xbox version of 2 had crappy controls is my point.
A port is bound to happen sooner or later.
They poured a lot of money into this game. Apparently in Japan copies are already filling up used game bins.
I'll bet we'll hear concrete news about a 360 port after Christmas.
This generation has shown that in the gaming industry it's too expensive too compete, it's much easier to marginalize both platforms and release games for everyone.
Why is MS are able to keep their 3rd party exclusives ie. Gears Of War/ Mass Effect but Sony can't?
Why is MS are able to keep their 3rd party exclusives ie. Gears Of War/ Mass Effect but Sony can't?
Because PS3s have only really just started selling recently?
Sony's made a big loss, but Microsoft and especially Nintendo, have made a great gain this gen.
As for MGS4 on the 360, it will happen, here comes more of the last Snake milking...

well i dont know about Mass Effect, but Gears of War and Gears of War 2 are actually partially funded by microsoft, so they are less of a 3rd party exclusive and more along the lines of a 1st party title, without actually being 1st party if that makes any sense...
i think Mass Effect may be the same thing, though im not sure...
what i do know is that Metal Gear Solid 4 was not published or funded by Sony, so they dont have exclusive rights to the title
