Japanese Nintendo Conference: The Games
First, watch the above video. After their lackluster showing at E3, this is the video Nintendo needed to show to prove that they still have the hardcore gamer in mind. Amid great casual titles like Animal Crossing, Wii Sports Resort, and a new Cooking Mama, it also shows off some great looking new games like a new Klonoa, Taiko no Tatsujin Wii, Another Code R (a remake of the DS adventure game Trace Memory), a sweet looking game called Cosmic Walker, Fragile, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade. Oh yeah, there's also Punch-Out!! Wii and Sin and Punishment 2, which I can't even begin to say how excited I am for those.
Though not in the video, it was also announced at the press conference that Namco Bandai's next Tales of game will be coming to the Wii (this is in addition to Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World). Finally, Nintendo revealed that it will be that it will be re-releasing several Gamecube games for the Wii as a new Wii de Asobu series (translates to "Play on the Wii Selection"). The Gamecube games will be updated with new controls to take advantage of the Wii remote and will sell for a cheaper price than the typical first-party Wii release. IGN reveals the lineup for Gamecube games getting the Wii treatment will begin toward the end of this year with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Pikmin, then games like Chibi Robo, Mario Tennis, Pikmin 2, Metroid Prime (one of my favorite games ever), and Metroid Prime 2 will follow in 2009. While it's great that Nintendo is updating these games with Wii controls, I just hope that this isn't the Wii Pikmin game that Miyamoto hinted at after E3. I'm still hoping for a real Pikmin 3 somewhere down the line.
Still no word on the long rumored Kid Icarus game for Wii though. Kinda makes you wonder if it's ever actually going to happen.
But wait, there's more. Hit the jump to see what Nintendo has in store for the DS. To help entice you: there's footage of both Perfect Prosecutor (staring Miles Edgeworth) and a new Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Neat, there are definitely a few games with some potential in there.
yeah i like very much this make up for e3 i hope the cube ports are getting additional content ;#
