LittleBigSequel: New Title Already In The Works
Even before the factory presses had time to get cold, Media Molecule has already began work on a titular sequel to LittleBigPlanet. In a report released recently by the BBC, "Even before the game has hit the shops, the team are already at work on a sequel".
This is really nothing but a good idea for the members of Media Molecule. Since the game was announced, the title has received nothing (until recently) but praise for it's innovative gameplay and the ability to let players be game designers. I myself have been wooed by it's siren song.
Even producer Peter Molyneux is vulnerable to it's charms:
I feel so proud of what they have done, which is phenomenal, They have started a company from scratch with one of the most amazing and creative ideas that this industry has ever seen and come out with a huge success.
It should really come as no shock that development on the sequel has started so early. As former members of the Lionhead Studio employees, they are well acquainted with the difficulties making a sequel. Lets just hope that the next launch is less rocky.
