New Gears Of War 2 Trailer Makes With The Artsy

gears_of_war.jpg

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere

Do you remember the haunting song that played during the successful advertisement for the first Gears of War? The song has arguably become linked to the game and placed a melancholy shade upon a story of men fighting beasts. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of the original, Gears of War 2 released a new trailer today which features our main characters engaged in some rather serene behavior. You can see the trailer here and post your thoughts below.

I remember seeing the "Mad World" ad in movie theaters and it hyped me enough to buy a 360 just for Gears of War. Will this new ad do the same for others?

Why did it not come as a surprise that they used this song? Its good but I still like the Mad World version better

Well that was certainly interesting. I agree that "Mad World" was better, but I rather liked the serene "Calm before the storm" feel of this trailer.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
