Try Being A Pirate Without Spending A Single Doubloon
Being a pirate and trying get stuff for free seems like a memo out of the Redundancy Department of Redundancy. Nevertheless would be pirates who are looking to take their pillaging for booty (pun intended) away from land and out to the sea will be given a chance to try out their sea legs. Pirates of the Burning Sea is offering 14 day free trials to their MMO and all it takes is your email address and a willingness to watch a download client fill your computer with an ocean of fun. From the game's website:
Pirates of the Burning Sea is an MMORPG featuring high seas action and adventure in a bold world of pirates and plunder. Set against the backdrop of the New World of the 18th Century, players can choose one of three nations -- England, France or Spain -- or choose the role of a Pirate and battle it out for glory and power.
Why would anyone choose the side of non-pirate? That would be like trying to play City of Heroes as a regular cop or Age of Conan as a woman with realistic body proportions. So if you've got some free time and are looking for an MMO that does away with a fantasy setting this might be right up your alley. I'm curious as to how many Captain Jack Sparrow clones are wandering around the servers? I've always been a Will Turner fan myself.
