Video: A Very Special Message From Many Famous People
First thing, use headphones, there are a few swears in there, if you don't want co-workers to hear.
Second, I know it's slightly off-topic. But it does have Ellen, and this election is VERY important. As the famous peoples say, you need to register really soon. Time is ticking. So many issues are at stake this time, especially here in CA.
As we've mentioned before, there's a big issue up in California this year. Proposition 8, if it passes, will ban (again) gay marriage in the state. If you live in California, you have to mail your registration by Oct. 20th.
Please people, be like Julie.

that was really awesome...I'm sending that to 10 of my friends....I'm proud that I'm registered to vote..
Great vid - I sent to my 5+
BTW, poor Courtney "I used to have 5 friends" LOL!!! Best line in there!
Hate to spoil the party, but wouldn't it behoove the movement to actually work to legitimately make gay marriage legal... as opposed to striking down supposed anti-fair laws?
Last time I checked the people of California (of all places...) struck down gay marriage when it came up for a vote. It was a panel of judges (Republicans at that) who struck it down...therefore 'legalizing' the measure.
What kind of world do we live in when a Democratic covered-in-blue populace outlaws gay marriage, but Republicans legalize it? My head's exploding - nothing makes sense anymore...the media is all lies!!
But seriously, get out there and register. McCain or Obama, do your civic duty!
All of us in cali really need to make sure to register and vote. There are groups out here going door to door urging people to vote for it. Although Big Stuff is right and that we should be doing MORE for equality, we can't let this slide either.
Holy carp. Alan Thicke. Most random thing ever.
Seriously though, people who are too lazy to vote should just be ejected from the country.
I just registered. I know it's a long shot but I'd feel like utter shit if, everything else aside, prop 8 passes and I didn't do anything.
I registered to vote last night because of this video. I'd meant to do it before, but never got around to it until this reminded me.
I have never voted in my life I don't see the point in Ireland because they literally just change it second time around if they don't get the answer they want.
No government here has ever been in power here without it's backhanded deals or some corruption somewhere within the main party so if they refuse to play by the rules then I refuse to play the game.
Sorry for that rant just felt a bit relevant on the whole you should vote thing, that video DID have a lot going for it up to the word: terrorism.
Saying to people to vote because of the war is fine people will have opposing views there, but that "terrorism" just seemed like scaremongering to me. Could be misinterpreting that though, I don't know how that whole thing is dealt with in the US.
What an incredibly condescending five minutes.
Wish I could help, but I'm Canadian. I've never wanted to vote in an American election so badly before.
Reminder to Canadians, we have an election coming up too. Don't let it get lost in all the US election excitement. We, too, must ensure we are on the voters list. Watch the (English) debate tonight and get out there to vote on October 14th!
