Video: Painfully Lame Debut Trailer From Otherwise Perfect Jamie Oliver
"Oh," I said, "A debut trailer for that new Jamie Oliver cooking game. I bet he's featured prominently in it, since that would make a lot of sense. Let's take a look!"
That's how the conversation went inside my head right before I viewed what has to be the least effective game trailer I've ever seen. So naturally, I want to share my disappointment with the world!
Atari's What's Cooking with Jamie Oliver ships this week for the Nintendo DS, and aside from a handful of minigames and a recipe collection, the game's only real draw is its celebrity tie-in, the adorable Jamie Oliver and his plump-lipped lisp.
But instead of Jamie's cute face, all we get is his (minimal) voice over one of the most painfully slow stylus-spellings I've seen this side of the stroke ward. I know this game numbers among Nintendo's non-gamer-games and is part of their bid to capture increasingly larger groups of non-gaming ladies, but really - ladies like Jamie Oliver's face, too.
