Warhammer Already Adding Classes!

ConArt0807_39.jpg

Not even the epic pre-Lich King WoW update could tear me away from my greenskin Shaman and all the PvP, RvR, GoblinvEverybody mayhem of Warhammer Online, and today's announcement just makes things juicier: Mythic will be adding two new classes to the game this winter. Well, technically they'll be re-adding some previously dropped character classes, but still.

Both classes are heavy tanks, which is one area where WAR could stand to be beefed up: the Knights of the Blazing Sun represent the Empire's Myrmidia, goddess of warfare and protector of civilization. Naturally, these Order-aligned human warriors will fight the powers of Chaos with applied tactical knowledge and the righteous fury of Emperor Karl Franz.

The Dark Elf Black Guard, meanwhile, will be kickin' it Chaos style - embodying disdain, the elite guard of the Witch King's soldiers form "an indestructible wall of hate against which all foes are crushed." Sounds like my kinda guys.

Dates and details to come.

LET THE TANK RUSH BEGIN! Mythic Entertainment today announced that two new careers, the Empire's Knight of the Blazing Sun and the Dark Elf Black Guard, will be added to Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning this winter. They may be on different sides of the war, but these two heavily armored warriors have one thing in common: they can take as much punishment as they deal out on the battlefield!

The Knights of the Blazing Sun are devoted to the cult of Myrmidia, goddess of warfare and protector of civilization. These frontline combatants specialize in Battlefield Commands, using applied tactical knowledge to outmaneuver their enemies and lead their allies to victory.

The Dark Elf Black Guard, on the other hand, care little for tactics or guile. The embodiment of hatred and disdain, they make up the elite of the Witch King's soldiers. Equipped with the finest armor and sharpest blades, the Black Guard is an indestructible wall of hate against which all foes are crushed.

Based on the popular tabletop war game from Games Workshop, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning features revolutionary Realm vs. Realm™ conflict that will provide an engaging battleground for years to come. Available now for PC, WAR is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB.

Having played the game since launch its nice to see new things being added but it would be much nicer to see fixes done to what's already there. The entire game design is great but it doesn't work when there is no one around to do things with... and frankly...RVR and Scenarios (or PVP)aren't enough to justify my $15. I wish they would create new armor sets...I change my armor a lot and its constantly is identical to what I had all along. What a kill joy that is...and I"m tired of looking like everyone else. Dyes are nice but it doesn't hide the fact that my armor is the same at Level 20 as what I had at level 5...just higher stat's....that's lazy game design in my opinion.

Never fails to amaze me the amount of whiners there are at the launch of any mmo.

First the game is great, levels 1-11 have beginner armor sets after which the situation begins to improve. This is the same in ALL of the mmo's I have played including WoW FFXI etc.

Second give them a break the game is 1 month old we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what armor is available and you think you have seen it all !!!

Third, I look unique at level 25 I don't know why you don't...

For anyone who says there is nothing to do in this game is not telling the truth. There is an overwhelming amount of content and I have never had a problem with finding people to play with, in fact it's the exact opposite.

The problem with the first poster may well be that this game just wasn't for him.

If your main problem with any character is how you look, this game isn't for you either.

Bottom line is if there is a problem they fix it quick and the game is bloody good fun.

It is well worth $15 per month to play.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
