Animal Crossing Live Marathon

Well, for those of you that haven't been keeping yourselves abreast of the near-simultaneous launch dates of the new Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii, the game is due out this Sunday (16th) in North America, on the 20th for Japan, and then on the 5th of December for Europe. The new Animal Crossing features the new WiiSpeak online chat integration, and as Asterick mentioned yesterday there are a few options in the US for getting your hands on the peripheral if you want it.
You, however, may be one of those buyers that would like to see a product in use before you make a final decision as to if you'll buy the game, and going that far, what extras you will also pick up. On the other hand you might be a consumer whore (phrase of the week) not able to wait until launch day to play the game and need some kind of AC fix today. Luckily for both consumers there is a solution. It seems that the folks at Gamespot have decided to do a two hour Animal Crossing Marathon to help kick off the launch of the game. If you go to the game's page on the website (link provided below) you'll see a countdown to some launch time that will be over by the time you read this article. My guess that is that the initial countdown is for when the marathon website launches, since the actual two hour show is not setup to run until 5pm EST / 2pm PST. So once that time rolls around for you, feel free to snoop in and see what all is in store for the kids at Gamespot when they start playing Animal Crossing: City Folk.
If you can't catch the live marathon, don't fret, the fine folks will be putting up the 2 hour video for anyone to watch shortly after the event ends. I'll post up a link to the archive once they have it up. Until then, gather all your bells and get your trendy outfits ready, it's almost Animal Crossing time.

More than half a month between America and Europe = nowhere near near-simultaneous
Granted it's not as bad as the year long waits that we sometimes have to suffer, but calling it anywhere near simultaneous is delusional.
I like to be delusional, it's great to live in an alternate reality where people don't nitpick posts. Sorry if you feel slighted by half of a month, but in all reality that's pretty close, all things considered... next time I'll use a term like 'quasi' if that makes everyone happier.
Semantics are FUN!!
No need to take it so serious. It wasn't a complaint aimed at you personally.
Just me passive-agressively (okay, not so much passive) venting again on the annoying long waits Europe has to endure.
And yes even half a month counts as an annoying wait.
