Flash Distraction: Mirror's Edge 2D Beta

Remember that awesome little flash game called Fancy Pants Adventure by Borne Games? It had a cute stick figure with a Sonic the Hedgehog hairdo, lots of jumping and fancy pants. Someone at EA sure did! To celebrate the release of the parkour packed Mirror's Edge, Borne and EA got together for a fun little flash game that brings a 2D perspective to Faith's adventures across the roof tops of a gorgeously color schemed city. It's still in beta, so there's a little bit of wonkiness to a few of the game's finer control aspects, but does a great job of replicating the console game's pace, style, and energy. Hopefully EA will notice the traffic pouring into this site and consider expending this project to a nifty little DS/PSP game. A man can dream, right?
Between this and the flash version of Portal, the latest trend in low-fi gaming seems to be adapting larger console and PC experiences to browser gaming platforms like flash. What other upcoming releases would you fine readers like to see get the same treatment? Personally, I'd love to see Gears of War receive a nice flash tribute. Or maybe a Double Dragon inspired version of God Hand would be better?
While we're on the subject, be sure to check back here on Monday for my review of Mirror's Edge.
