Heroes Game Concept Shelved

Heroes fans despair or rejoice as appropriate, looks like the Heroes game is not getting made. The statement from public relations director Jaime Cottini:

"The rights to the 'Heroes' video game have reverted back to NBC Universal. Ubisoft will no longer produce a video game based on the TV series."

Obviously, NBC could find another developer, but given that the shows third season is receiving some abysmal reviews right now and several of the executive producers have been removed from the show, I have a feeling they're not spending cash on a game. Which could be a good thing, in the long run.

I'm a huge 'Heroes' fan but I gotta say... good riddance. There isn't really a big emphasis on action in this show so I can't imagine them being able to make a game out of it that would've been any good. An RPG probably could've worked in some way but they almost never make RPGs out of this kind of license so it wouldn't have happened.

I think the fact Lost: Via Domus bombed probably was a big factor too.
