Microsoft Xbox 360: It Outsells
It's pretty safe to say that the Xbox 360 has been a pretty big success. I know more people with one of those buggers than the Nintendo Wii. Which is, all things considered, pretty amazing. Turns out, Microsoft officially hit the big 25 million, causing it to surpass it's predecessor as Microsoft's best selling console.
Chris Lewis, VP of interactive entertainment business for EMEA, told MCV:
We've already surpassed the installed base of the original Xbox - which is a really significant milestone. We've been blown away by the appetite of people to consumer digital entertainment experiences.
Quite a feat, having that large of an install base. Just to give you an idea of how many consoles that is, it's about 50 times the magnitude of World of Warcraft players. I'm interested to see how much of the world's power is being absorbed by these behemoths.

Wait, the wow number doesn't match up. Unless you are counting how many paying customers there are (which we don't know) then it is more 2.5 times wow players. 50 times would mean there are 500,000 wow players.

In my case/opinion... the RRoD is what prevented me from getting a 360 until now. So maybe if they didn't have that to deal with, they would have made those numbers a little earlier. Kudos for the Netflix thing.
7 million in Europe in 3 years
11 million ps3 in Europe in 2 years you do the math.
Of course 360 sold more than origal xbox it was a flop well in Europe anway
