Sad Penis: Viagra Pulls Out Of Video Game, Hopes Video Game Isn't Pregnant

Facing rock-hard opposition from the FDA, Viagra manufacturer Pfizer has withdrawn from operating its advergame, Viva Cruiser, leaving behind both a sticky mess and a disappointed partner, Forbes.com, which had hosted the game until September.

(Wait a minute: "Roll over to play?" Where does the line start?)

Despite the heavy come-on, this game wasn't explicitly about sex. Pharma Industry rubbed out a chubby description of Viva Cruiser:

Players are instructed, "You're about to take your partner on a romantic getaway. Pick up a few things on the way." Players must then guide a motorcycle rider down a desert road picking up gifts for a date and avoiding orange hazard cones. The gifts include roses, scented candles, gift boxes -- and of course little, blue, diamond-shaped pills.

As the game progresses, players get points for running over gifts and are penalized for hitting the orange cones. As a stopwatch counts down the available gametime, Pfizer's "Viva Viagra" theme song can be heard in the background...

No, the game wasn't yanked due to lame game design, but because while pounding home the message of Viagra's solid benefits, it failed to mention any risk information. Pfizer people, this is sex lesson #1 (or maybe 2 or 3): it doesn't matter how adamantine your wang is if you don't pack the proper equipment.

So you might say that the Viagra game got nixed because it didn't bring any protection. If your condition persists for more than four hours, please call me!
