Square Enix Teases While Jump Mag Bears All

Well, if any of you have been keeping new Square Enix websites on your internet browsing radar, you may have already seen the image to the right as part of a new countdown page up on a recently active japanese weblink. The countdown clock contains the picture of the head of the dragon Bahamut (from numerous Square Enix games) at the top along with a titan/giant creature, similar to Alexander, at the bottom. The image is really fantastic and a great teaser picture for a countdown clock. The music that plays in the background is from the tactical role-playing game Bahamut's Lagoon that came out on the Super Famicon. So it has everyone wondering what Square Enix would be announcing in a few days, or at least HAD everyone wondering.
Well as great as the countdown clock and accompanying materials were, it appears that Square Enix didn't have all it's chickens in a row, and images from next months Jump Magazine have already been scanned and found their way onto the net to show what the website is really all about. Turns out that Square Enix is working on an action RPG game called Blood of Bahamut for the DS, and that's what all the websites and magazine articles are about. The game will be using 2D sprites fighting in a 3d environment and could feature simultaneous 4-player action in the game.
Just goes to show that while some people may be teasing you, someone else is always willing to show you it all for free.
