Video: New Xbox Experience Trailer
Huh. So we all know that Microsoft is launching their new Xbox Experience on Wednesday, November 19. Personally, I'm really just looking forward to the Netflix streaming, and I can take or leave the other features. But I was curious to see how Microsoft was going to sell it. Because it's a forced upgrade for anyone with a 360, but I wanted to see how they'd pitch it as a draw for people who didn't already own one. Turns out they'll try to make it hip and cool and set it to a kind of annoying song called "Open Your Eyes" by the United States of Electronica. What I found interesting was that it was all style, and no substance. Not particularly informative. You got a quick glimpse of how the menus will work, but that's about it. And no mention of Netflix at all. Interesting. Well, I'm still looking forward to streaming movies. Jury's still out on the rest of it. Anyone else excited? Or are you scared? And for anybody without an Xbox, would this make you want to get one?

I thought it was pretty bland. The store is something that has been there, no need to showcase that.

All this is, is a Microsoft attempt at Wii advertising. Where it's more or less people having fun and nothing getting shown.
I mean the guide button pops up saying photo sharing started, but it doesn't show what that is. All in all, I call this commercial a fail.
I just got my 360 this month so I'm not attached to the blade system.
One word: Netflix!! And it didn't have to be HD either, but that's awesome that they added HD.
As far as the avatars, I like the idea but I'm not going to spend money on getting them clothes and other accessories.
I'm in the same place as Enrique. I just got my Xbox360 last month and I am kind of attached to my blades. I love the option of Netflix... But the avatars look cheesy. I would like to see some game inspired ones... Some a little less human maybe, and less Mii like for that matter. If I had wanted a Wii, I would have bought one.
I want to see the NXE, but theres is a rumor about this bringing on the RROD on the first generation consoles. And the avatars looks... well... fine... i think, my only problem is that all the avatars look sooooo generic, i want my avatar look like me:
a big burly bearish men, not like something take out from an A&F ad
