Wal-Mart Brings Savings For The Holidays

wal-mart_secret_specials.jpg

I would not consider this news, so much as it is a good time to snag some goodies from your local Wal-Mart. I'm not ashamed to say that I have purchased a good number of electronic goodies from the mega cooperation, if there were local owned alternatives I would take them up on it. Hey, if it comes down to Wal-Mart and Best Buy, which is really the lesser evil?

Starting Saturday, November 8th Wal-Mart will be offering a handful of products at seriously reduced prices, or with additional incentives:

  • Magnavox Blu-ray Disc player $198
  • 2GB Sony Walkman MP3 player $49,
  • Compaq CQ-13WM 15.4-inch laptop with 2GB RAM and 160GB hard drive $298
  • variety of video games $19.82

  • Sony PlayStation3 includes a $100 Wal-Mart gift card with the purchase $399
  • Sony PlayStation2 includes a $30 Wal-Mart gift card with the purchase $129

I myself snagged the MGS4 bundle a few months back, and simply sold the gift card on e-bay for the face value of the card. Just something to keep in mind if you are wanting to get a PS3 on the cheap.

I'm just curious: why would anyone buy a gift card at face value from you?
