Weekly Poll Results: What Gaming Devices Do You Own?
This poll certainly went much longer than a week! I wanted to make sure we go the most possible answers for this one and boy did we ever! Now unfortunately there is no real way for us to tell which of the people who voted owned multiple consoles but we can at least get an idea of how many people have what! Here are the results!
- PlayStation 2 - 1779 votes - 16%
- DS - 1734 votes - 16%
- Wii - 1707 votes - 16%
- Xbox 360 - 1431 votes - 13%
- Gamecube - 1233 votes - 11%
- PSP - 1161 votes - 11%
- PlayStation 3 - 1153 - 11%
- Original Xbox - 772 - 7%
The good ole' PlayStation 2 seems to be the front runner. Pretty impressive for a console that is nearing the end of its lifetime! The rest of these numbers are not too surprising and seem to follow nationwide sales numbers fairly closely. It's interesting to see how close in numbers most of the consoles in the middle section are. The PS3 is still sadly lagging behind the competition sales wise. Will this holiday season turn things around for the console? There are tons of amazing games out for it, but it seems the price tag is still turning people to the cheaper systems. Despite their protestations, it would seem that a PS3 price drop is in order if they want to make some serious headway in the catch up department.
