Weekly XBLA Update - 11/12/08
As of this morning, it doesn't look like there are going to be any new games hitting XBLA today. Perhaps Microsoft is too busy getting ready for next week's release of NXE. That doesn't mean gamers are completely out of luck this week. As I reported earlier this week, Left 4 Dead has arrived in demo form, and for a demo you get some four player online fun. The demo will only be around until the actual game releases so think of this as a limited time offer. Plus it doesn't cost you a penny... aside from needing to have a Xbox Live Gold account. The week is a bit better for Rock Band owners, and especially good for Foo Fighters fans. Their album, The Colour and the Shape hits the console today for 1600 points or each track for 160 points. The songs include:

Left 4 Dead (demo) is so freaken awesome! It's 4 player co-op, with different difficulty levels. A must download and try!
Of course this is from a guy that just got an xbox 360 and never played Gears 1 or 2. Yet.
also, you don't need to have a mic to talk to other players online. I think you just need to click the left thumb-stick and the character says things like "look here" or "there's weapons/pills/first-aid" etc...
I want L4D so bad, but I only have like...1.5 gigs free on my Windows partition and nothing I can delete apparently, also my aging (2 1/2 years old) laptop couldn't handle it anyway.
And as playing FPS games with a controller is like trying to write with your feet, it'd be pointless of me to try the 360 version...
So it looks like I'm waiting till I get my new gaming PC built to get my online zombie shooting game on.
