Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
This was a really good week in Narnia. My house got bigger, new people moved into town, and I went to my first concert. There were quite a few firsts this week, which makes sense because I only just moved in! I've got lots of stories to share, and some pictures, too! Digital photography is awesome!
First of all, I managed to make enough money to pay off my mortgage and get my house expanded. Now I've got more room for furniture. Too bad that mushroom hunting ends at the end of November. I'm still missing quite a few pieces of the set, I'm sure. It's a shame that I couldn't have moved in before November 1, when the mushroom season began. Sigh. At least picking an elegant mushroom gave me more bells than I needed to pay off my mortgage and even splurge on a swanky new outfit at Gracie Grace's in the city! My eyes are so big I get self-conscious, so I figured a lovely pair of tortoise glasses and a blue argyle sweater would be just the thing!
I also fished like a madman, and I got all excited when I caught a football fish, but it turns out it's only worth like, 400 bells or something. I can't remember exactly, but I thought it was worth a whole lot more than that! It was in the last town I lived in! Dang Nook getting stingy with his bells... I did notice over the week that when I had a friend over, he was finding new fish in my rivers, so I tested that theory and ended up fishing in someone else's town and catching a pike, which I'd never seen in my town. My bf caught a ray, so that's awesome. And he politely donated it to the museum instead of selling it to pay off his debt. So that's sweet. Still haven't seen a lobster yet, although they're apparently out there!
I did manage to finish my first dinosaur, which was a Dimetrodon. I have to say that the museum in this town is much more impressive than the earlier ones. Everything is much more detailed and elaborate, and the spaces are bigger. There's even an upstairs in the dinosaur area because one of the specimens is just that big! (We're almost finished with him... one more piece to go!) Oh, and another first came when Biskit gave me my very first nickname. He decided I should be called C-bot! I like that one. What's funny is that my bf insists that Biskit is a girl. But he says the same thing about Rodeo, and I'm really pretty sure that Rodeo is a boy. Hard to tell sometimes with the clothes they wear. Victoria and Octavian are also new residents in town. Victoria's a race horse, and Octavian is an octopus. How he stays alive out of the water, I don't know. He doesn't even live near the ocean! (Should I feel bad about catching his relatives and selling them to Nook?) Oh, and Sally apparently is thinking about moving. My bf doesn't like her for some reason, and would be happy to see her go, but I think she's adorable. We'll see what she does.
Rodeo also gave me my invite to Redd's back alley shop in the city, and it was about time. I felt like I'd been waiting forever, even if it wasn't even a week. He's the only game in town if you want to buy paintings to stock the museum. The guy's just as smarmy as ever, and now he goes on about how you're practically cousins. Yeah, right, buddy. It's a little odd to think that his store is going to always be there instead of just popping into town in his black market tent once a week, but it does seem like it takes at least a week to restock with new merchandise, so I guess I'll still have to wait. I was a little annoyed at the $3,000 bell buy-in for membership, but at least I don't have to screw around with getting the special password anymore. And as an added bonus, the first painting I bought and donated to Blathers wasn't a forgery! Yay!
I also attended my first K.K. Slider concert down in the coffee shop. Unfortunately, you don't get to make a request anymore. You just listen to whatever he wants to play for you, and then you get a bootleg of the tune to play on the stereo back at your own place. So hopefully it's something good! It turns out that after he gives you the bootleg, you can actually request other songs, but while he does play them for you, there are no bootlegs to be gotten. So it's still one song a week to bring home, but you can listen to as many as you want! Well, I didn't go past two, so I don't know if he gets tired and tells you enough's enough or not. I really don't like being able to request the songs I want. All I have right now is K.K. Lament on my stereo, and it's no good!
I was out of town visiting my parents for the holiday, so I missed the Harvest Festival. But my bf managed to collect a bunch of cool-looking harvest furniture by giving forks and knives to Franklin the turkey instead of the hungry townsfolk. I'm sorry I missed it. I don't like missing the big events. At least my bf was able to take advantage of the fun!
Well, that's it for this week, diary. More next time!

Just an FYI about KK, he gives you a song on the first week, but the next week you can make a request or go by mood.
