Deals: Big Steam Holiday Sale

According to basically every story on the news last night that wasn't about the weather, most stores in the country are freaking out about the lower than usual holiday sales, slashing prices to clear out stock and salvage something from the season. Even though they don't really have any physical inventory to speak of, Steam's joining the fun and having a big end of the year sale on everything they sell. If you'd like to help yourself to some decent game savings but flinch at the idea of going out into crowds of angry consumers trying to return that sweater from grandma for store credit, you may want to check it out.
They say everything, they mean everything: all games are 10-75% off. They've even got a "$.99 bin" with games like Half Life: Blue Shift and The Ultimate Doom. Bioshock is $5, as is Portal. Team Fortress 2 is $10, and their newest blockbuster Left4Dead is 25% off. In fact, for $75 you can get every Valve game ever made (and they throw in Peggle Extreme, for some reason).
You don't have to worry about supply drying up, so take your time. The sale ends in a week, January 2nd, which should give you plenty of time to browse their catalog and decide.

I snagged Bioshock, at that price I can't justify NOT buying it now, even though it'll be another month or so until my new gaming rig is finished. Swank!
I almost feel bad for buying some of these games at such low low prices: Portal for $5 and Luxor 2 for .99! Though Portal is a tad glitchy on my PC so I feel less bad about that game.
Bioshock is another game I am seriously considering, but I don't know how much I'd enjoy it. Sill, its only $5...
I bought Witcher Enchanced Edition, World of Goo and Call of Duty 4. I would have bought plenty of other things, like Aquaria or Portal, but I already own them.
Peggle Extreme was the five(?) level, Half Life themed, joke version of Peggle that came with Orange Box, so it makes sense to include it in the Valve pack.
Hey if you get L4D be sure to check the PC forums and add some of us gay zombie slaying sons of bitches!
The only thing preventing me from dropping the cash for L4D is the lack of a demo. I don't know if I'd like this game and I don't even know if it will work with my unreliable PC...
