Rock Band Goes Wireless With Lips
My secret shame is how much I enjoy singing in Rock Band, although I'm always careful to do it when I'm alone in the house. Last night, the bf came home while I was in the middle of singing the new Killers pack, and I was humiliated. I had to sing "Spaceman" while he was home. So with Lips on my Christmas list, I'm looking forward to more karaoke fun, especially since those microphones not only light up with sparkly patterns, but they're wireless.
Well, it now seems that Microsoft and MTV games are saying that a patch is in the works that will allow the wireless Lips mics to work with Rock Band. There's no word when such a patch might come down the pike, but hopefully it'll be soon. I won't get Lips until Christmas (fingers crossed), so I can wait a few weeks for it. It's also a good sign for future music games that Lips is apparently joining the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series in trying to make sure the instruments are compatible with all games. Because I live in a small apartment, and don't have enough room for that many guitars and microphones!

I share your no longer secret shame. I am absurdly happy about "Tempted" by Squeeze hitting the DLC specifically for singing.
Spaceman is hard to sing! I'm looking forward to singing some No Doubt songs next week.
Those Lips mics look nice. I wonder if they'll incorporate the lights and the motion sensing in RB somehow.
Too funny - I am the exact same way... as soon as the BF leaves the house it's time for me to break out SingStar! And then I watch the replay of my performance, which validates my decision to play in private.
