Video: The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf
The Witcher had a troubled release, requiring updates and enhancements sufficient enough to merit a second launch of the improved edition. But developer CD Projekt RED and publisher Atari aren't letting the IP based on "Polish Tolkien" Andrzej Sapkowski's books go underutilized - enter The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, which forsakes its PC RPG roots for a console debut on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 in late 2009.
This follows a similar move by Ascaron, whose PC RPG Sacred is seeing its sequel arrive on the PS3 and 360 - albeit not in time for the PC release. It's good to see more Eastern European studios join the console bandwagon - there's been a lot of talent floating around for years, and the strict requirements for console games might provide the structure for game design that has been the region's Achilles' heel.

Yeah, I am a fan of Hellboy II, too.
But really, leave the acrobatics to trained (hot) actors. If I wanted to see more dead-eyed cg, I'll just netflix Polar Express and hope I don't lose my holiday spirit all over my lap.
If this gets a collector's edition too, I'll give it a wide berth.
Stupid artbook full of naked women. Bah!
