Wal-Mart Has "Thousands" Of Wiis This Holiday

I find it incredible that after two holiday seasons, the Nintendo Wii is still one of the most sought after holiday items. Black Friday saw sell outs nationally as well as the Wii being the most searched product on yahoo.
So, are there going to be the unfortunate few left wii-less this year again? Not if major retailer Wal-Mart has anything to say about it. According to Reuters Wal-Mart has "tens of thousands" of the beautiful waggle filled system.
Walmart.com said it will offer the Nintendo Wii console for $249.24, and a "value bundle," which includes the console and other items like an extra set of controllers, for $329, while supplies last.
In all honesty though, I can't imagine anyone who wanted one of these systems doesn't have one already. I know I've been enjoying mine for the last two years. Now, if your friends and family don't have one, that seems the place to double check.

Nintendo's hardware production facilities only operate during the warm summer months because they are thermally fueled. This is why Nintendo hardware is impossible to find in stores between Thanksgiving and March.
I don't understand how they can still be running out of these things. Surely in this day and age we meet the demands for a piece of hardware.
and yet, they sold 800,000 of them the week of black Friday.
Rule 1 of marketing.
Make the consumer afraid they cannot get a hot product.
There are thousands of Wii's everywhere, Nintendo purposely withold stock, like they did last year, then just before christmas, like in the UK, tens of thousands magically appear, and they get gobbled up at a much higher rate than they would a constant stream.
It's the same with Wii Fit, there's tons of them in warehouses, and the week before christmas shops will be flooded, and demand is fever pitch, do the math my good man.
