Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0031.JPG

Dear Diary,

Things are going pretty well in Narnia. The bf and I continued our race to pay off our houses first, although I seem to have better luck fishing than he does, so even though he spends a lot of time trying to make bells, I end up making more in less time. Oh well, too bad for him!

We had a couple unusual visitors, and the town is getting prettier. Maybe that's why people like stopping by?

Earlier this week, a little kitten named Katie showed up in tears, looking for her mommy. My bf saw her first, and told me that she wanted to go to Astoria. Since I knew where that was, I was the one who finally took her there. Luckily, her mother, Kaitlin, was standing right inside the city gates, so we didn't even have to look for her. Phew! Of course, her mom didn't seem very happy that Katie had gotten lost, so I hope she doesn't throw her a beating with that spoon she had in her hand! Oh, and the next day, I got a letter from Katie thanking me for my help, and giving me a lovely phone as a reward. This worked out really well, because I had already decided that I wanted to collect the lovely furniture for my upstairs room. So that was a good start!

This is a shot of my fabulous two-story house. Isn't it awesome? And don't you love my outfit? I was in the Able Sister's shop and saw this wonderful Egyptian mask that I knew would go perfectly with the Egyptian outfit that I'd bought before and kept in my closet. I love dressing up in new clothes. The only thing with this mask is that when you put it on, there's a horrible sound because it's cursed. It's nothing awful, you just keep falling down when you try to run too much. I can handle that. It doesn't even hurt! A small price to pay for looking so cool. Oh, and your expressions are mostly unreadable underneath, but that's okay too.

Blanka showed up at one point, wandering around aimlessly with some crazy-scary face that she said was given to her by Mr. G. She'd wanted to look cute, but clearly, she didn't, so I offered to help her out. See, Blanka is this white cat that wanders from town to town searching for new looks. Her face is like a blank canvas that you can have your way with. She wanted to look cute, but honestly, I wasn't feeling like putting that much effort into it, so I gave her a different face that at least looked like eyes and a mouth, but still wasn't actually cute! It's her fault for bothering me with her nonsense, really. Also, I ran into Pascal standing on one of the bridges in my town. He asked if he could tell me something, spouted off some hippie crap and then dove into the river! I didn't know what was going on. He fell over the waterfall and then drifted down the lower section of the river right out into the sea! I tried hooking him with my fishing pole, but I guess he didn't want to be rescued. Perhaps he just likes freaking people out. I don't know. I remember when I ran into him in the last town I lived in, he'd give you some cool piece of furniture. But now? Nothing. He just commits suicide or whatever. Weird.

While paying Rodeo a visit this week, he complained that he'd come down with a cold. He did seem pretty sick. Luckily, Nook's stocks medicine, so I did him a favor and went and picked some up for him. From his reaction, it didn't taste very good, but he was really grateful because it did make him feel a little better. I do like Rodeo, so I was happy to help. It took a few days of bringing him medicine before he fully recovered, but then he was so grateful he gave me a present. (Of course it wasn't anything that good!)

Oh, I almost forgot to mention -- I found my first hybrid flower this week! I love making hybrids. It was one of my favorite things to do in the last place I lived. In fact, I had gold roses all around my town square. It was awesome. I don't have the gold watering can yet, because it's hard to get my environment perfect. Pelly keeps telling me there are places that need more trees, but I think there are too many trees in Narnia. I cut them down sometimes because it's too crowded. At some point, I hope to achieve the perfect balance. But for now, I'm just happy I found a purple rose. Later, I found more. I've got a couple black cosmos and an orange cosmo, and I found a purple pansy, too. I just have to keep them in separate areas so visitors running around my town don't trod on them! Because then I'd have to kill them!

Do you like my new outfit, Diary? It's a halo. I couldn't believe when I saw it in the Able Sister's shop. I put it with a toga that I already had so I look like an angel. Of course, ask anyone and they'll tell you I'm no angel, but it doesn't hurt to at least look like one! I fished like a madman trying to pay off my mortgage before my bf, and I was so upset when I actually caught a stringfish in the river and had to sacrifice the 15,000 bells to donate it to the museum. The first of everything really should go in the museum. That's the rule I set for myself. Otherwise that museum would stay empty until both our houses were paid off! When I finally paid off my debt, Nook was very happy (I bet -- the guy's practically a millionaire at this point!), and said it was time for the next phase of enlarging my house. I thought it was finally time for the side rooms, like in my last town. I really wanted a back room first so I could turn it into a back yard. But Nook said that he'd dig me a basement to hold all the extra crap I owned that didn't fit in my house. I didn't want a basement! I took it anyway, though, and once it was built, I was horrified to learn from Nook that this is the final addition! There won't be any side rooms? That totally bites! I'm really upset. I liked being able to have a total of five different rooms to decorate as I wanted. That way I could have a lovely room, a mush room, a kitchen and whatever else I wanted. I'm rather disappointed by this, but I'll try to get over it.

Pascal will give you a piece of the "pirate theme" if you have a scallop in your pocket to trade when you initially talk to him.

Just for the record, Blanka showed up to my town with that face...I didn't change it because I didn't feel like spending the time. I just lied to her and told her she looked cute lol.
