WSJ: Blagojevich Mirrors EA/T2 Deal

No, I'm not making this up - you can't make this up: the folks at the Wall Street Journal's Deal Journal blog have compared Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's alleged swindlings to the overconfident T2 we saw reject several lucrative bids from EA, only to have EA walk away from the table while T2's own stock took a nosedive:
Before Illinois Gov. Blagojevich allegedly tried to auction off President-elect Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat to the highest bidder, he might have taken a closer look at the state of deal making this year-which would have told him it never would have worked.Deal Journal compiled some lessons from this year's M&A market that might have kept Blogajevich from following temptation into a federal indictment.
Don't assume you are the only game in town: If prosecutors are right, Blagojevich, accused of looking for either lucre or favors in return for Obama's Senate seat, made an oft-seen mistake: he believed he had more leverage than he did. Take-Two Interactive Software-maker of the Grand Theft Auto videogame-made the same mistake when it pushed rival Electronic Arts to bid up, up, up for the company. But EA tired of being toyed with and walked away.
Ok, fair enough - that doesn't read as crazy as you think it will, but it does of course omit the fact that it was legal for T2 to be overconfident, and legal for T2 to seek the highest-possible-value transaction. And while EA did indeed walk away, and T2's fortunes have indeed shrunk, T2 is still a functioning company. Blagojevich does not look set to escape prison, nor do so with a still-functioning governorship.
But the real problem with Rod Blagojevich, gamers, and I hope I get a teaspoon of sympathy here, is that despite that absurd helmet hair and the sickening behavior, I think Rod is kinda creepy-hot. I'm not saying I'd be his Eva Braun, but there is a kind of 'evil daddy' thing goin' on there. I'm thinking: angry sex followed by a little now-ironic GTA IV, then help Rod to get that hair back into orbit above his face...
Wall Street Journal Compares Crooked Ill Guv's Mistakes to Failed EA-T2 Deal [GamePolitics]

That was the most retarded comparison every. Then again, the Wall Street Journal doesn't have the brightest people working for it.
Dear WSJ:
Political commentary: ur trying too hard.
Heard it on Olberman, and I agree, Blagojevich looks like Dan White from the MILK movie.
Yeah, he kinda is weird hot. That hair kills it. And the corruption stuff that's probably the root cause of my mass transit costs going up... sooo not hot.
But he does have a good bod, he's a runner and likes to work out.
But to the article, yeah... that's a really hard stretch!
Hot? Not even slightly (to me). His eyes are WAAAAAAY too beady and close together. He looks like the Mafia Lord's retarded nephew- and is apparently as smart as him.
I don't really know about his body- but his face looks like if his eyes had been a bit bigger he could have been rather good looking. As it stands he just looks unintelligent and evil. And not in a sexy way.
