Lips DLC Gets Pricier

So you know how I already told you guys the other day about how I noticed the upcoming DLC for Lips in the in-game store before Microsoft shot off a press release? Well, they've finally gotten around to putting out the information, and while it does include the next two weeks of DLC, it also includes a slightly dismaying new trend. Of the three weeks listed, two of the songs will be the usual 160 Microsoft Points, but one of them is going to sell for 180. That's not sexy.
Available On January 16
"When I Grow Up" by The Pussycat Dolls (160 MP)
"You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" by The Righteous Brothers (180 MP)
"Erase/Rewind" by The Cardigans (160 MP)
Available on January 23
"Hate That Love You" by Rihanna feat. Ne-Yo (180 MP)
"Thnks fr th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy (160 MP)
"Look What You've Done" by Jet (160 MP)
Available on January 30
"Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 (160 MP)
"Take A Bow" by Rihanna (180 MP)
"Water Runs Dry" by Boyz II Men (160 MP)
The lack of oldies and the kind of eighties classics I've been enjoying is dismaying, but this price hike is even more worrisome. So far it seems like they're overcharging for the track they believe will be the most popular each week, but I'm really hoping that in another couple months it's not two at 180 and one at 160. Because that's a slippery slope to charging 180 for all of them. Hopefully this pricing won't bleed over into games like Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band, too. Because at least those games offer up free tracks and discounted songs from new bands, something Lips has yet to try. And if it's a case of the music video adding to the cost of the track, why not give us the option to download a cheaper version without the video?

I don't mind buying the songs that my friends and I will sing to, but really... when are we going to see some madonna? kylie? Microsoft has to realize that probably only gay men and women are playing this game!
Actually, some songs have been 180 points for weeks now..
seems that the prices have been hiked up for the Self-Righteous Brothers and Self-Righteous Rihanna.
But come on its 20 points which is approx 25 cents right? really expensive o_O
Karaoke Revolution has a very large amount of DLC with tons of oldies and 80s-90s songs but everyone ignores it because there aren't videos.
