Set Sail For Knothole Island on January 13!
Asterick already alerted us to the development of downloadable content for Fable II in the form of the Knothole Island expansion pack. Well, now Microsoft and Lionhead have announced that the DLC will be available over Xbox LIVE Marketplace starting on January 13 for 800 Microsoft Points. They've also created another installment of the fascinating Lionhead Studio's Video Diary series focusing on the final days of making Fable II as well as a sneak preview of Knothole Island. This video is available now over Xbox LIVE or on the Xbox website.
But that's not all they've got up their sleeves! Also releasing on January 13 will be a free content update that will include a gift basket from the residents of Knothole Island. In it you'll find stuff like Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion (boy, could my guy use that one!), a collectible silver book and more! This update will be available as a free download, but if you're already planning on downloading the Knothole Island content, the gift basket will be included with that.
What, you want more Albion goodness? Fine. Greedy sods... Lionhead and Microsoft have also created an all-new Knothole Island Premium Theme for 250 MP. Happy now? (Well, I know I'd be happier if you could preview the themes on the website or Xbox LIVE before downloading them...) Personally, I'm a little psyched for this new island, even though I'm still working my way through the main game! I am nearly done, though, so while I may not be downloading this on the 13th, I'm sure I'll get it as soon as I'm finished to make this brilliant game last just that little bit longer!
