Sony Thinks Home Was Announced Prematurely

I really tried to be a big Home supporter, but weeks after it was released, I find myself accessing the graphically pleasing chat room less and less. I could complain about the obnoxious users, the connection issues, and the slow price escalation in the mall, but I'd be missing the biggest issue. There isn't anything to do! Yesterday saw the release of the Red Bull racing addition, but when I accessed the area it was just a bunch of people milling around with no way to race, or do anything else for that matter. That's the problem, Sony keeps shoving features out the door before they're up and running.
Even the company behind Home admits they made a mistake here. PlayStation Home game director Peter Edward has come out and said of the initial announcement of the service, "there's the realisation that, well, we probably announced it too early - GDC 07 was a long time ago. I think there was sort of recognition amongst developers of 'Oh, this is interesting, but there's still a lot of work to be done." Almost two years later and it looks like Home should have been placed in the oven a little while longer. Cookie dough might be good, cookies are even better.
Edward is optimistic though, and says that developers are starting to become comfortable with Home and have exciting projects in the pipeline. "As soon as developers start seeing what other people have done, it really starts to build on the excitement, and now it's at a really nice stage where people realise that it's not that difficult, and also that the possibilities are pretty vast. So we're back at the exciting stage again."
How long can we keep hearing promises and sticking with Sony on the Home-front? I'll keep logging on, but that doesn't mean I won't be looking for housing elsewhere.
Home Sweet Home [Develop]

That's a pity. A Red Bull Flügtag game within Home where users could build their own physics-based flight contraption would have been both an amazing experience for players and great PR for Red Bull. Now, neither side gets anything.
strange the red bull race works in us & eu regions since yesterday...
it's a bit awkward trying to start though. but it works and best of all
no queueing...
My partner and I checked out Home the other day and found it to be utterly pointless. A huge waste of time in the worst way possible -- it was boring. We use our PS3 for two things: watching movies on DVD/Blu-Ray and playing Pixel Junk Monsters. (Oh, and Little Big Planet which we haven't picked up in weeks.) Ho-Hum-Home will not be joining our very short list of PS3 uses.
Sony should have been making cake instead of cookies.
Sony cake hurts my rootkits.
.... now I want cake =(
Sony says many things. Is anybody listenin.....? thank you.
