Video: Suikoden Tierkreis Trailer
Who would have imagined that the go to console for a consistent flow of JRPGs would be the DS? Well, with brand new entries in long running series being announced on Nintendo's handheld there's no arguing DS is place to be. Now we have the debut trailer for Suikoden Tierkreis, a return to the world we first saw on the original Playstation. The trailer itself blends anime cutscenes with in-game footage and personally I'm not exactly wowed by the visuals. The game has boasted beautiful production values in the past, Suikoden 3 a personal favorite, but this seems just a bit off. Now don't let the visual styling fool you, this is classic Suikoden. With the same classic turn-based gaming the series has perfected combined with 108 playable party members this should be a solid entry in a series that last appeared way back in 2006 on the Playsation 2 with the critically well received Suikoden 5 .

this game looks terrible. D: i didn't see a single thing i recognized on the first watch through. no returning characters, no special runes, just a bunch of whiny, androgynous, anime boys.
i think i'm officially growing out of video games. and suikoden 2 is my favorite game of all time.
This isn't part of the main series, it's a spinoff, sort of, since almost nothing of the original system is intact.
Still, I'm looking forward to this. I won't judge the game before I've played it.
