Weekly Xbox Live Community Watch - 1/16/2009

For my money, some of the best games on the Xbox 360 are being released as Xbox Live Community games. Sure there's a ton of Snake and Pong clones that aren't worth a download, but hidden among them you will find absolute gems like Artoon, CarneyVale Showtime, Galax-e-mail, Groov, Johnny Platform's Biscuit Romp, Weapon of Choice, and World Revolution. The problem with Xbox Live Community games though is that unlike the Live Arcade there's no set release date for any of the games, and they usually release with little or no fanfare. To help you out, every Friday I'll be bringing you the list of the latest Xbox Live Community Games so you can stay up to date on the latest indie 360 games.
This week brings us five new Community Games, mostly in the puzzle category. My favorite of the bunch is Exhaust, a physics-based game similar in a lot of ways to Jelly Car, which strangely still hasn't seen an Xbox Live release. But for those still waiting for Jelly Car's release, Exhaust is a nice substitute to pass the time with. Also this week we see Poker Squares, which challenges you to make the best possible poker hands from random cards placed in a 5 x 5 grid. Hands can be made horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and the challenge can get pretty tough, especially when playing against a second player or the computer. Then there's Chromatism, a game where you need to change your color to match falling balls as you zip around the screen with your jetpack. It's not as frantic as it sounds though, and it almost approaches a zen-like experience.
Also this week we see Bat-L-Blocks, a 4-player competitive Tetris clone that intoduces a ton of new block shapes and special blocks that will attack your opponents. And finally there is Foosball For Two, which takes the Pong formula and runs with it adding multiple paddles and better ball physics.
Hit the jump for the full descriptions of each of the games.
Exhaust - 400 MS points. Exhaust is the first gravity based 2.5D monster truck racing game to ever hit the market. Even though it is called a racing game, the use of dynamic objects and gravity has given us the option of adding loads of interesting artifacts to the racing tracks which turns this monster truck racer into an incredible platform game.
Poker Squares - 200 MS points. Place 25 cards in a 5 by 5 grid to make the 10 best poker hands. The better the poker hands the bigger score. Three modes of play: Solo, against the A.I. and against another Local Player. Each of these can also be played as a Speed Game. A number of top 10 high score tables are kept. Both USA and UK scoring systems are supported. Watch out! The A.I. is very hard to beat!
Chromatism - 200 MS points. Chromatism is a 2D jetpack flying, colour changing game, in which you change colour to match the dots falling toward you. Hit correctly coloured dots in quick succession to increase your combo, boosting your score. The left stick is used to fly left, right or down, A fires your jetpack and X, Y and B switch between blue, yellow and red respectively. Beat the top highscore for a bonus item!!
Bat-L-Blocks - 200 MS points. Up to 4 players compete in a classic falling block style game, only this time players interact with each other by completing lines containing attack blocks. 20 unique attack blocks can change the game in an instant.
Foosball For Two - 200 MS points. Play a challenging game of Foosball against the computer or play with a friend. There are multiple table backgrounds available, plus various game play modes.

I just cant get the whole experience . It is just amazing.
