GTA DLC Brings New Tunage, Too

Everybody knows that the downloadable episode "The Lost and the Damned" is coming out for Grand Theft Auto IV on February 17, and that it'll include hours of new gameplay, weapons, vehicles and achievements... but did you also know it'll add some new music to your radio? Busta Rhymes will be debuting a new song called "Conglomerate" exclusively in the game, and Funkmaster Flex will be hosting his own show!
"Unlike movies, where you have a particular song that goes with a particular scene, what we do with the stations is really kind of allow each player to individualize how they want to play the game and how they set the tone," said music supervisor Ivan Pavlovich. "It kind of shows the reach of video games to influence people to buy music. That's why it's important for people like Busta, when they have new material. He is pushing an album in this. ... That's part of the whole thing that we do that's really important to us, is turning people on to new music."
Rockstar updated five of the radio stations in GTA IV, including the hip-hop and rock stations, so there's more than just Busta Rhymes and Funkmaster Flex, but no info yet on what else is being included. A soundtrack is totally something I never even would have thought of updating, but kudos to Rockstar for going the extra mile.
